Artist Statement
The process of printmaking, in particular the intaglio technique, has always fascinated me. There is great adventure and satisfaction in wrestling with the most obstinate materials and indirect methods, in hoping and guessing what the results will be, and always being surprised by that first proof. I take it from that point, using multi-plates and multi-processes and eventually will come up with an image that works and is often better than the original intent.
As for intent-I work with what I find significant in the world around me and hope to pass it on.
